Pre-Planning
We will send you an application form to start the process; once this is completed, we will be in touch to have a quick 20-minute chat to ensure that we are the right fit to work together and to decide on the time for the strategy session and the actual day.
Next is a 90-minute Strategy Session. This is where we begin to understand your vision, who you are, your specialities and the unique value you bring to your clients. This helps us tailor a bespoke website and business strategy that resonates with your personal and professional ethos. We will also walk through the day, what the structure will look like and what will be in place at the end of the day, i.e., Website up and running, business plan and 3-month strategy.
Launch Day
You will spend 8 hours with Sarah and Sophie virtually, or if you live nearby, you can spend the day with us; during that time, we will develop your website: A compelling online presence is crucial for your business. Tech expert Sophie designs and builds an aesthetically pleasing website with great functionality that will grow with your business and be optimised for visibility. Your website will be up and running and ready for referrals by the end of the day.
Many people spend months working on their websites. This is lost time if you are looking to work with self-referring clients. Your website will support the growth of your business from day one. If you plan on selling products and courses or allowing clients to book or pay for sessions, you will have this capability when needed; it's a website that will grow with your business.
Sarah will guide you through all the practical aspects of setting up your practice. This is bespoke depending on your need identified in the pre-planning session; it might be some of the time is writing content for your website or getting profiles or social media set up and developing your business plan and strategy from client management systems, getting the paperwork in place and setting the right fee through to effective marketing techniques. You will have a plan in place for the next three months by the end of the day.

Post Day Support
The first year in Private Practice is where people need the most support, so once the day is complete, we will continue to support you and your business in growing and sustaining its solid foundation.
You will be added as a founding member of the community 'Therapists Corner', where you can attend further training in private practice and have a year of regular support from Sarah and Sophie in the Q&A's and monthly power hours.

Sarah combines 20+ years in mental health, from nursing to CBT therapy, with specialisations in EMDR and compassion-focused therapy; she is also a supervisor for the Compassionate Mind Foundation Diploma. Sarah has successfully run a fully booked private practice in the heart of Wilmslow, Cheshire, for over a decade, working with self-funding clients. Known for mentoring therapists towards building values-based practices, Sarah also shares her insights as a blogger, columnist and podcaster. She is the author of ‘The Therapists Guide to Private Practice’ for Routledge.

We've been doing this for a while, so we can provide all the practicalities and paperwork you will need to have in place, think - Writing initial contact forms for clients to complete, risk assessments, Therapy Agreements, GDPR Compliance Structure, Consent forms, Policies and we will get you started with your first business plan.
Sarah will work with you to set the right fee and support you in setting a financial plan that will support financial stability, while we recommend that you work with an accountant for expert financial support we will ensure that you understand the day-to-day financial aspects of running a financially resilient private practice whether you set up as a sole trader or limited company.
We guarantee you will receive your first enquiries within three months of your launch day!
